Fort Funston

I've decided to venture out today. My skin is becoming too pasty from being indoors for the past couple of weeks. So I convinced my husband and my mother-in-law (who's staying with us for a weekend visit) to go to Fort Funston.

"Tobi would love it there. We could let him roam off-leash and play by the beach," I told them. I haven't been there but some pet-parent friends highly recommend it. My husband and his mom readily agreed. (I have this weird feeling that they would agree to anything I suggest, especially if it gets me out of the house. I can't blame them, I'm beginning to look like your friendly neighborhood shaggy-haired, bathrobe-wearing, soft-slippered troglodyte. Heh.)

It took us a while to decide when to head out. But we made it there nonetheless. Yeah!

Long walk down the beach.

The weather is not sunshiny.

Right, leave the slow, postpartum mama behind why don't you?

Are we there yet?

Beach access at last!

Uh-oh, muddy, steep trail. Not good for a clutz like me.

The hubby and Tobi just went for it.

Mesmerized by the sea.

Remembering  our beloved Kai.
