Fine

My third day after the wisdom teeth extraction and I'm ready to eat real food. Really. I. AM. HUNGRY. I've been subsisting on cold apple sauce, ice cream, room temperature miso soup. My husband has to remind me every so often that I needed to wait until everything healed. *sigh*

Thank you for the words of encouragement. I think Priscilla's suggestion about the bra and frozen veggies was brilliant!!! Talk about finding other uses for 'everyday' items. But I think the hubby would have too much fun about the idea. Heh. Good thing the dental office provided us with a thingy-majig that has built-in ice packs. So it's keeping my face from swelling too much. It feels quite nice but tomorrow I'll have to start with warm compresses.

Antibiotics and pain meds are keeping me immobile. The vi.co.din makes me sleepy as soon as I take it, and here I thought I can function like House - mean, lucid and clever. Instead I was lame, quiet and loopy. Anyway, I'm doing fine. All things considered. Fine and hungry for REAL food. (((@_@)))

Glad the recovery process is going well!!! I say, once you're ready for real food, go for it. I was probably in the wrong, but I started eating things like lasagna the day after. I made sure things looked decent back there before doing so, though. :)

I'm glad things are going well in your recovery! If you're that hungry, you probably need to eat something substantial. But be warned, chewing may hurt. (Of course I was one of those stoic mules who didn't take her vicodin because she didn't like feeling loopy, so maybe I felt the discomfort from chewing more than you will, so don't take me too seriously. ;-)
